About Bernie: In 1985, Bernie was the number one pick of the supplemental draft by the Cleveland Browns and made an immediate impact by starting ten games in 1985. He led the Browns to the playoffs in each of his first five NFL seasons, winning four division titles, the most among NFL quarterbacks since 1970. Bernie is one of only two quarterbacks in the NFL since the 1970 merger to lead teams in three division titles in their first three years in the NFL. In 1986 he led the NFL with a 1.9% interception ratio, establishing his hallmark for accuracy as a passer and holds the NFL record set in 1991 for the most consecutive passes without an interception at 308, breaking the record held for 26 years by Bart Starr. His contributions to the Browns were recognized with his induction into the inaugural Legends class in 2001. Being introduced to the audience by his three daughters, in 2006 Bernie was inducted into the Florida Sports Hall of Fame.
